The Michigan Retailers Association is the unified voice of Michigan’s retail industry. Retailers provide more than $128 billion worth of goods and services annually to consumers in Michigan and employ 855,000 Michiganians -- almost one in five jobs in Michigan’s economy.

Headquartered in Lansing, MRA provides aggressive legislative representation and a wide range of profit-boosting services to more than 5,500 member retail businesses, which own and operate more than 12,000 stores across the state. Members range in size from the smallest single-store operations to the largest national and international chains.

Incorporated in 1940 to help retailers succeed in business, MRA has become the nation’s largest state trade association of general merchandise retailers.
