Federal Health Care Reform
The Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act was signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010. The companion bill, the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, was signed into law March 30, 2010. Together, these two laws constitute the new federal health care reform law. There is a high degree of uncertainty associated with the impact of reform legislation, as key regulatory guidance is still pending. Listed below are links to information explaining how Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will be implementing the Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act. The information will help you understand the basics of its impact on health insurance groups.
