LANSING -- Business professionals in Michigan can discover the Disney approach to business and management through a half-day seminar presented by Disney Institute and sponsored by the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA).
"The Disney Keys to Excellence" will be held Thursday, September 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Lansing Hotel, 925 South Creyts Road in Lansing.
It's the first time an association in Michigan has sponsored the program.
"This is an excellent opportunity for professionals in Michigan to take part in one of the world's best business training seminars," said MRA CEO Larry Meyer.
"The Disney Keys to Excellence" offers an exclusive look at the business side of the Walt Disney World Resort. Members of the Disney management team will present an insightful discussion of two topics: service and customer loyalty.
"Participants will hear Disney success stories and get a glimpse of the successful philosophies we practice thousands of times every day at the Walt Disney World Resort," said Craig Taylor, director of business programs for Disney Institute.
Attendees explore business strategies used at the Walt Disney World Resort and learn how they can apply similar practices in their own business.
Cost for the program is $150 for MRA members and $175 for non-members and includes the seminar, program materials and continental breakfast. For registration information, contact MRA's Robin Gregory at 800.366.3699 or rsgregory@retailers.com.
Lansing-based MRA is the unified voice of retailing in Michigan and the nation's largest state trade association of general merchandise retailers. MRA's more than 5,500 retail business members operate more than 12,000 stores across the state.
