Three members of the Retailers Fund Board of Trustees were re-elected at the Retailers Fund's Annual Meeting, held June 27. Each will serve a three-year term.
The newly re-elected trustees are:
John K. Godfrey, CEO of Godfrey Jewelers in Battle Creek and a member of the Battle Creek City Commission. He was first elected to the Retailers Fund board in 1985 and now serves as chairman.
Wayne Muller, retired chairman of Muller's Family Shoe Centers in Grand Rapids and a former chairman of Retailers Fund. He was elected to the Retailers Fund board in 1990.
Jean Sarasin, Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) vice president of finance and secretary and treasurer of Michigan Retailers Services, Inc. She was elected to the Retailers Fund board in 1997.
Retailers Fund, MRA's self-insured workers' compensation program, was founded in 1981. It has returned more than $14.5 million in dividends to members since its inception.
The Michigan Retailers Association is the unified voice of retailing in Michigan and the nation's largest state trade association of general merchandise retailers. MRA's more than 5,500 retail business members operate more than 12,000 stores across the state.
