MRA sponsors business seminars in southeast Michigan

Retailers and other business owners in southeast Michigan can discover profitable business strategies in two upcoming seminars sponsored by the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA).

Maximize Your Wealth: Financial Planning Strategies for Business Owners will be held Tuesday, May 15, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Best Western Laurel Park Suites in Livonia.

Certified Financial Planner John Machcinski will show how to integrate business and personal financial planning for maximum financial security. Topics include business profitability, tax reduction strategies, succession planning and retirement planning.

Cost of the seminar is $15 for MRA members and $25 for non-members.

Capitalize on Visual Merchandising and Display will be held Thursday, June 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Baldwin Theater in Royal Oak. The seminar is cosponsored by the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and the Oakland County Small Business Development Authority.

Store design experts Michael Crosson and Denise Schroeder will help retailers use atmosphere, color and lighting to create a total visual environment that appeals to their customers and drives sales. Participants will receive advice tailored to their specific needs.

Cost of the seminar is $15 for members of the sponsoring organizations and $25 for non-members.
