MRA and Wayne State University sponsor business seminars

Retailers and other business owners in southeast Michigan can discover profitable business strategies in four upcoming seminars sponsored by the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) and Wayne State University (WSU).

How to Start and Run a Profitable Small Business, Thursday, May 17
Certified Public Accountant Edward F. King offers dozens of practical, profit-enhancing tips for aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners.

The ABCs of Exceptional Customer Service, Thursday, May 31
Bill Middlebrooks of Excellence in Action, Inc., shows why exceptional customer service is so vital and how employee satisfaction drives customer satisfaction and company profits.

The Lighter Side of Success, Tuesday, June 5
Humor can reduce stress and promote positive relationships. WSU instructor Walt Stasinski shows how to put this powerful tool to work in the business environment.

The Not-So-Subtle Art of Negotiation, Tuesday, June 19
Joan Gossman, WSU director of purchasing, teaches win-win negotiating skills that help business professionals get what they need and want in a business deal.

All sessions will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at WSU's Oakland Center in Farmington Hills. Cost of each seminar is $49 for MRA members and $69 for non-members.
