Michigan Retailers Association and Wayne State University outline paths to profitability

FARMINGTON HILLS -- The Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) and Wayne State University (WSU) are sponsoring a professional education seminar for retailers and other business owners next week in Farmington Hills.

How to Start and Run a Profitable Small Business
Date: Thursday, May 17
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Place: WSU Oakland Center, Farmington Hills
Description: Certified Public Accountant Edward F. King offers practical tips for aspiring entrepreneurs and established business owners. King discusses how to get a loan, control cash flow, find potential customers, write powerful advertising, improve personal selling skills, price products and services, find and deal with suppliers, and much more.
Cost: $49 for MRA members, $69 for non-members.
