Michigan Retailers Association launches online business seminars

Retailers and other business owners can now access business training courses through the Internet at www.retailers.com.

The online courses are offered by the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) in partnership with LearnSomething.com, a web-based, distance-learning provider. They're designed to put interactive learning materials at retailers' fingertips.

"Often it's difficult for retailers to get away from their stores for several hours to attend a seminar," said Kelly Hayes, MRA's manager of education and events. "The online courses enable businesses and their employees to access high-quality training opportunities whenever it's convenient for them."

Online course topics include:

Prices range from $49.99 for the Preventing Sexual Harassment course to $179 for the Web Development and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer courses.

The Michigan Retailers Association is the unified voice of retailing in Michigan and the nation's largest state trade association of general merchandise retailers. MRA's more than 5,500 retail business members operate more than 12,000 stores across the state.
