LIVONIA -- The Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) is sponsoring an upcoming professional education seminar for retailers and other business owners in Livonia.

Presenter: Jim Ghent, Ghent Ellerbrake & Associates, LLC
Description: Jim Ghent, a specialist in polygraph tests, pre-employment searches and investigative services, will discuss the Fair Credit Report Act and its implications for hiring retail workers. He will outline requirements for conducting pre-employment background checks and guidelines for outsourcing the hiring process. The seminar will help retailers stay abreast of the latest changes in employment law and hiring practices.
