Area retailers to present seminar on 'Successful Retail Strategies'ROYAL OAK -- Four Oakland County retailers will serve as panelists for "Successful Retail Strategies," an April 24 seminar in Royal Oak aimed at helping independent retailers succeed. Panelists are Rebecca Aughton of Bra~vo Intimates, an intimate apparel store in Royal Oak; Patti Brock of Excelsior! Couture, a women's and men's clothing boutique in Pleasant Ridge; Joanne Pintar of home, a home furnishings store in Royal Oak; and Norman Silk of BLOSSOMS, a florist shop in Birmingham. The discussion will be moderated by Mike Crosson, chief executive officer of JGA Inc., an internationally renowned store-design firm in Southfield. These successful specialty retailers will share secrets from the front lines that can give independent merchants an edge in today's competitive retail marketplace. The seminar is sponsored by the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA), Oakland County Business Center, City of Royal Oak Downtown Development Authority, Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce and Woodward Avenue Action Association. "Successful Retail Strategies" will take place on Wednesday, April 24, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Baldwin Theatre in Royal Oak.
