Flowers Unlimited joins online Mall of Michigan

For Immediate Release
May 19, 2005

Flowers Unlimited, a specialty retailer in Indian River, has opened shop in the Mall of Michigan, an Internet retailing and shopping service operated by the Michigan Retailers Association (MRA).

Shoppers can access Flowers Unlimited online through the Mall of Michigan at www.mallofmichigan.com. The site is listed in the Home & Garden section.

Flowers Unlimited is a full-service florist featuring fresh-cut flowers grown in the owners’ large garden, which they say are superior in quality because of their extraordinary freshness. The store specializes in floral arrangements for weddings and other special occasions. In addition to the flowers grown in its garden—including Asiatic and oriental lilies, snapdragons, sunflowers, lisianthus, statice and many others—Flowers Unlimited can order roses, orchids, gardenias or other flowers for arrangements or bouquets. The store, which is open mid-June through mid-October, serves customers in Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Mackinac Island, St. Ignace and Cheboygan as well as Indian River.

The store’s website features photographs of its products arranged in three galleries: fresh-cut flowers, weddings and special occasions. Photos show both individual arrangements and examples of their work on-site at weddings or other occasions. A map is provided to help customers find the store.

The Mall of Michigan is a collection of unique specialty shops—all of them MRA members—offering distinctive products online. More than 150 Michigan businesses now participate in e-commerce through this website.

The Michigan Retailers Association is the unified voice of retailing in Michigan and the nation’s largest state trade association of general merchandise retailers. MRA’s nearly 6,000 retail business members operate more than 13,000 stores across the state.
