LANSINGRetailers Mutual Insurance Company has elected officers for the 2006-07 fiscal year.
Joseph Kay, co-owner of Northland Tire and Service, Inc. in Southfield, was elected chair of the Board of Trustees. Kay, formerly vice chair, succeeds Rod Phillips, of Country Casuals in Petoskey.
Other continuing Retailers Mutual board officers are: Larry Meyer, CEO; James Hallan, president and chief operating officer; and Jean Sarasin, secretary and treasurer.
In addition, at Retailers Mutual's Annual Meeting, Hallan, Sarasin and John K. Godfrey, owner of Godfrey Jewelers and mayor of Battle Creek, were re-elected to three-year terms on the Board of Directors.
Retailers Mutual Insurance Company provides cost-saving workers' compensation insurance to a wide array of businesses, non-retail and retail. Headquartered in Lansing, the company was established by the Michigan Retailers Association in January 2006.
