Local businesswomen to discuss
excellent customer service at retail conference

LANSING - Mitzi Taylor, owner and president of Not So Basic Training, and Susan Negen, co-founder of Whizbang! Training, both in Grand Haven, will present seminars at the Michigan Retail Education Conference March 5. The conference is given by the Michigan Retailers Association and will be held at the Soaring Eagle Resort in Mount Pleasant.

Taylor's presentation, titled “Would You Do Business With You,” focuses on educating retailers and small business owners on the importance of providing their customers with the best service. Not So Basic Training is a consulting and training firm designed to enhance customer service and efficiency in all types of businesses.

Negen will present two seminars: “Internet Marketing Secrets Techies Don't Tell You” and “How To Develop A Whizbang Staff.” The seminars will show how to use websites and e-mail marketing to dramatically grow business and how a top-notch staff can be a business's biggest competitive edge. Whizbang! Training is a consulting firm that provides important skills and systems necessary to run a successful business.

The seminars are among six to be presented at MRA's 5th Annual Retail Education Conference. Other seminar topics include “Give Customers a Mini-Vacation” and “The Procrastinator's Guide to Succession Planning.”
