Retailers Mutual elects officers, directors

LANSING—Retailers Mutual Insurance Company has elected officers for the 2007-08 fiscal year.

Joseph Kay, co-owner of Northland Tire and Service, Inc. in Southfield, was re-elected chair of the Board of Directors. This is his second year as chair.

Other continuing Retailers Mutual board officers are: Larry Meyer, CEO; James Hallan, president and chief operating officer; and Jean Sarasin, secretary and treasurer.

Kay, Meyer and Dan Marshall—president of Lansing-based Marshall Music Company, with stores in Lansing, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Detroit and Traverse City—were re-elected to three-year terms on the Retailers Mutual board at its annual meeting.

Retailers Mutual Insurance Company provides cost-saving workers’ compensation insurance to a wide array of businesses, non-retail and retail. Headquartered in Lansing, the company was established by the Michigan Retailers Association in January 2006.
