MRA announces staff changes

Brian Brisbane has joined the Michigan Retailers Association as a regional marketing representative serving southwest Michigan.

Originally from Gladstone in the Upper Peninsula, Brisbane lives in Grand Rapids and most recently worked as an admissions representative for Davenport University in Holland. He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grand Valley State University.

Brisbane will cover the counties of Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Cass, Kalamazoo, St. Joseph and Van Buren.

“I’m looking forward to working with the retailers in southwest Michigan,” Brisbane said. “It’s an honor to be part of such a great organization.”

Three MRA staff members have been promoted to new positions in the Association.

Judy Schafer was promoted to manager of fund operations for Retailers Fund, the Association’s workers’ compensation program. She has been with MRA for 19 years and was previously Retailers Fund administrative assistant.

Nicole Antenore was promoted to administrative assistant to John Mayleben, MRA’s vice president of sales and marketing. She joined MRA in 2000 as marketing department administrative assistant.

Darcy Clark, who joined MRA’s staff last fall as receptionist, was promoted to administrative assistant in the marketing department.
