Members re-elect
directors, trustees at annual meeting

Four members of the MRA Board of Directors were re-elected at the Associations
Annual Meeting on July 1 at Crystal Mountain Resort in Thompsonville.
Participants of Retailers Fund, MRAs self-funded workers
compensation insurance program, also re-elected two members of the funds
Board of Trustees at their Annual Meeting immediately following the MRA
session.
Re-elected to three-year terms on the MRA board were:
Joseph McCurry, past chair of the executive committee and retired
district general manager for Sears, Roebuck and Co.
Larry Mullins, chair-elect of the executive committee and owner
of Brandon Tire & Battery in Ortonville.
Joseph Reid, chairman, president and CEO of Capitol Bancorp Limited,
Lansing.
Peter Sobelton, owner-operator of Sundries Plus in Troy, a chain
of six sundry stores and cafeterias in office buildings in greater Detroit,
and previous owner of Churchills Ltd. tobacco and gift stores.
Re-elected to three-year terms on the Retailers Fund board were:
John K. Godfrey, CEO of Godfrey Jewelers, Battle Creek, a family-owned
business established in 1911.
Jean Sarasin, secretary and treasurer of the Retailers Fund board
and MRA senior vice president.
