Mullins on national board
Until Mullins was elected, Michigan did not have a representative
on the national board, due to a reduction in board size when the Tire
Association of North America and International Tire and Rubber Association
merged to become TIA in January 2002. “It’s essential to have representatives from
Michigan on national boards for organizations such as the TIA,” said
James P. Hallan, president and chief operating officer of MRA. “Larry has been involved in the tire industry at
the national level for years, and TIA is lucky to have someone of his
character and experience on its board.” Mullins, who was the only candidate from Michigan on the ballot, is a past president of the Michigan Tire and Vehicle Service Association, as well as a former board member of the National Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association and the Tire Association of North America. |

Mullins, owner of Brandon Tire & Battery in Ortonville and chair-elect
of MRA’s Board of Directors, has been elected to the Tire Industry
Association (TIA) Board of Directors. Fourteen seats were open on the
36-member national board.
