Retailer of Year nominations due

Time is running out to nominate an outstanding retail business for 2004 Michigan Retailer of the Year.

The annual awards honor retailers who make a significant positive impact in their communities through their involvement in and support of civic, charitable and volunteer programs. A business may nominate itself, and businesses that were not selected in a past year may try again.

A nomination form is enclosed in this issue. Or you can nominate a retailer on the MRA website at http://www.retailers.com/eduandevents/roy.html. They’re due August 12.

MRA is also seeking 100-year-old businesses for the Michigan Centennial Retailer program. That form is here. The awards for Retailer of the Year and Centennial Retailer will be presented at a luncheon October 12 in Lansing.
