WMU seeks mature enrepreneurs

A Western Michigan University professor is looking for MRA members who can help her find out what makes older entrepreneurs tick.

Dr. Barbara Frazier, associate professor of Family & Consumer Sciences at WMU, is seeking people who have started businesses for the first time later in life who are willing to discuss their entrepreneurial experiences as part of a study she is conducting.

The study will examine what motivates a person to start a business after retirement and what factors encourage or inhibit success in these endeavors.

Participation involves a brief interview (1-2 hours). Information gathered from interviews will be confidential.

If you are a “baby boomer” and have started a business for the first time, or know someone who has, please contact Dr. Frazier at 269.387.3719 or frazier@wmich.edu.
