Scrap tire cleanup grants available

Grant applications for the Fiscal Year 2007 Scrap Tire Cleanup Grant Program are available from the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ).

Property owners with abandoned scrap tires or scrap tires at collection sites are eligible for funding assistance. Priority is given to collection sites where the scrap tires were accumulated prior to 1991 and sites that pose an imminent threat to public health, safety, welfare or the environment.
