Nominations are due September 7.
The annual awards program, now in its 10th year, honors retailers who
make a significant positive impact in their communities through their
involvement in and support of civic, charitable and volunteer programs.
Greentailers
In addition to selecting a Retailer of the Year in each of the small, medium and large retailer categories, the awards program will provide recognition for all retail businesses that are serving the larger community by taking steps to combat global warming. All actions, small or large, to reduce the use of energy produced by oil, gas, coal and other carbon-based fossil fuels will receive recognition.
Century-old stores sought
MRA also is seeking 100-year-old businesses for the Michigan Centennial Retailer program.
If your business began in 1907 or before and has not been designated already,
or if you know a business that qualifies, please submit a nomination form.
The awards luncheon will be held October 23 in Lansing. |
