Open enrollment nearly over…

Open enrollment—the one time all year when MRA health insurance participants can add employees and dependents—ends on June 30. Changes made during this period will become effective on July 1.

Changes to Delta Dental or Delta Vision can be made during this open enrollment period or a second open enrollment period in November-December.

To add employees and dependents or adjust coverage during open enrollment, call MRA Customer Service at 800.366.3699 or e-mail MRA’s Susan Stroup at sstroup@retailers.com.

Changes to group health coverage can be made at any time, but since new group rates go into effect in July, it’s a good time to review group coverage and consider adjustments.

Additional dental benefits…

Participants in Delta Dental have several improvements in coverage. Dental implants—an alternative to dental bridges—are now covered, at the same level as other prosthodontic services and charged to the patient’s annual plan maximum.

In addition, patients with diabetes, renal failure or suppressed immune systems, as well as pregnant women and patients who have received head and neck radiation, are all eligible for more frequent visits for prophylactic care and periodontal maintenance cleaning than in the past.

The coverage level for prophylaxis is the same percent as for preventive services and the coverage level for cleaning is the same percent as for other periodontal services. For more information, contact MRA Customer Service at 800.366.3699.


Shipping savings climb…

As of April, MRA members participating in the Shipping Savings program have saved a total of $163,045 on a total of 84,334 shipments since the program began. The average saving per shipment is 20.8 percent.

The program provides discounts on both inbound and outbound deliveries, as well as on less-than-truckload shipments, where the average saving is greater.
