Adkins joins MRA staff

Laura Adkins has joined the staff of Michigan Retailers Association, assisting the communications team in the production of publications, press releases, member and internal communications, and the MRA websites: retailers.com, mallofmichigan.com and retailersmutual.com.

Adkins accepted the position in March, filling a vacancy created by the February retirement of Retha Lachance. She had worked as an intern with MRA since May 2006 in Customer Data.

“When I found out there was a full-time position with MRA, I was excited,” said Adkins. “I really enjoy the people here, and the job matched a lot of my interests. I get to work with computers and learn more about maintaining websites.”

Adkins graduated in May 2006 from Michigan State University’s Broad School of Business with a degree in supply chain management.

Adkins is originally from Monroe and now lives in Battle Creek. She loves reading novels, playing disc golf and camping, especially at Waterloo Recreation Area near Jackson.
