Workshare programs explained in hour-long webinars by MEDC and LEO

If you’re interested in knowing how you can leverage the state Workshare program, you may want to check out these hour-long webinars by the Michigan Economic Development Corp. (MEDC) and the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO).

MIchigan’s Workshare Program allows employers to keep employees working with reduced hours, while employees collect partial unemployment benefits to make up a portion of the lost wages.  Employers can retain trained employees, restart their business and bring back employees from unemployment while having the flexibility to choose which of their employees are part of a Work Share unit.
