De-escalation webinars back by popular demand

With the Governor’s latest orders requiring stores to deny entry or refuse to serve customers without face masks, we’re repeating our series of webinars to help you deal with difficult customers. Many of you who missed the webinars last time have requested that we do so, and we’re happy to do it for a nominal fee this time – $20 for non-members, $5 for members.

Again, we’re using the same vendor, Keene Training, which has extensive experience in de-escalation training. For example, they’ve been the go-to company for the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association when they do trainings to help bar staff deal with drunk customers. Because we’re using an outside vendor, we are not allowed to record the webinars, so we hope you can tune in at one of the times below.

There are two different webinars:

  • Dealing with Difficult Customers (DWDC): This webinar arms you with phrases and behaviors that help defuse tense situations rather than escalate them.
  • Active Violence in the Workplace (AVW): If a situation gets out of control, how do you respond? Our presenter will discuss steps you should take to protect yourself and others.

Below are the times and links for each webinar. Be sure to click on the correct one, depending on whether you’re a member or not.
