How to Enter:

Get a punch card from a participating business or print your own.

Visit at least three Michigan-based businesses during Buy Nearby Weekend between October 2-4, 2026.

Fill out your punch card and get a stamp or initial from each business. No purchase is necessary for entry. Any Michigan-based business is eligible to participate and stamp/initial punch cards. Retailers, restaurants, service-based businesses, and beyond!

Upload a photo of your completed postcard to the form on this page to complete your entry.

Alternative Entry Options: Email the photo and your contact information to  communications@retailers.com with the subject line "Shop 3 Challenge Entry." Contest entries mailed to MRA for submission must be received by October 15, 2026. Mail entries to 603 S. Washington Ave. Lansing, MI 48933

The $500 gift card winner will be selected on October 15th.

Rules: Shopper participants must be 18+ years of age to enter. No purchase necessary to enter.  Businesses must be located in Michigan to be eligible for participation. Michigan Retailers Association membership is not required. One participating shopper will be selected at random and awarded a $500 Visa gift card upon validation of entry. The three businesses listed on the selected entry will also receive an award: a $100 gift card for MRA-member businesses, or a 1-year MRA membership for non-member businesses. MRA employees and their families are not eligible to enter.
