Buy Nearby Weekend
Buy Nearby Weekend is celebrated the first full weekend in October each year. The statewide event gets consumers shopping at local retailers to kick off the holiday shopping season. With new ways to participate each year, Buy Nearby Weekend has been observed since 2014.
Michigan Monday
First celebrated in 2024, Michigan Monday is observed on Cyber Monday as a celebration of Michigan-based e-commerce businesses. The celebration encourages consumers to shop small on Cyber Monday by seeking out Michigan-based websites during the holiday season.
