MRA promotes credit card processing expert

LANSING – Michigan Retailers Association (MRA) announced the promotion of Darcy Gates CPP, one of MRA’s expert staff members in the increasingly complex merchant processing arena, to Manager of Sales Support.

The Grand Ledge resident’s responsibilities include analyzing credit and debit card processing data, preparing proposals, determining pricing, understanding interchange and providing support to MRA’s state association partners.

She is one of three MRA staff members who have earned the national designation of Certified Payments Professional (CPP) for their expertise in credit card processing. The certification from the Electronic Transactions Association, headquartered in Washington, D.C., recognizes professionalism and expertise in credit card processing and other commercial electronic payments systems.

Gates joined MRA in 2001 and was promoted to inside sales and support specialist in 2008.
